EDINA ROCCO ALTOBELLI EX EMPLOYEES IS AT LILI SALON IN MNTK

If you're looking for your favorite hairstylist, colorist, perm etc... that used to work at Rocco Altobelli in Edina then you now will know exactly where they are working. They are working at SALON LILI owned/operated/or managed by Bill (Colorist)at in the strip mall of Sundial Center.

5757 Sanibel
Minnetonka, MN

I went to SALON LILI today (5/29/08) and noticed it has remodeled the old location that was an abandon gas station. They did an excellent job for remodeling with employee and customer concept in mind. In another term, "Employee and Customer Centered" philosophy. The environment has very well relaxed with soft music in the background, open space, funky and comfortable chair and table. You can wait in the center of the location where you can interact with others instead of staring in the white wall like Rocco has. Staff asked if we would like anything to drink. They offered all kind of refreshment but we preferred water. I was curious what they will bring out. It was a glass of water with full of ice cubes and the best part was a piece of lemon on top. Ooh how refreshing and tasty the water was. The way staff interact to each other and customer at an intimate and family level. That is how it should be because you paid big buck for a hair cut you should be treated at a personal level to understand about you to do the best cut that would match your face, head, body and hair type.

I bet Rocco Altobelli did have a customer orientation philosophy at first but when they get too big they shift their focus into a profit-driven salon.

ROCCO ALTOBELLI (EDINA) has horrible salon environment

Edina Rocco Altobelli is so noisy. It litterally was like a FLEA MARKET. Everyone was hassling each other. Oh the best part was they offered me the best of the best of the best foam cup of water. Gosh I paid for the service at a high end place I would think that at least would serve me water in a glass/cup. I went to a $22/hair cut and they offered me any kind of juice, Carribou/starbuck coffee with special blend or mix, bottle water etc... Do you want or remember what they have at Rocco Altobelli in Edina? They have a ready made coffe filled in a thermo container with whole bunch of foam cup and a box of tea bags on top of a junk cart at the customer waiting area.

The customer service area was horrible. A row of chairs and you can only stared at the tall white wall. While awaiting bunch of looney ticks running back and forth. Some with a grouchy face and they were like vulchers feeling upset that they dont have you as their clientele.

Feel free to respond to my blog. I am not affraid of speaking the truth and my opinion.

ROCCO ALTOBELLI HAD TERRIBLE BUSINESS WORK ETHIC!!!

PLEASE DONT GO TO ANY ROCCO ALTOBELLI. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY WHATSOEVER. THEY USED YOUR INFORMATION FOR THEIR OTHER BUSINESS. BE AWARE YOUR INFO MIGHT BE ON THEIR NEXT LAWSUIT. I WILL BRING TO THEIR ATTENTION ABOUT VIOLATING MY CUSTOMER INFORMATION FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT.

Dont go there!!!!!!!!!!! They over charged and messsed my hair up. I will blog them on angie's list and all other places. This is what they will get for providing the worst service.

One day in Feb. 2008, we walked into Edina Rocco Altobelli and found out 20 or more employees from various departments had left Rocco and went to work at another place where a former employee Bill (Williams) of Rocco is owning/operating/managing.

Rocco Altobelli got mad and want to retaliate their ex-employees by BROUGHT THEM TO COURT for NON-COMPETE CLAUSE. How stupid is that? They should have done their math before doing that because they can't win that. I own a business and I understand that having that clause is just a way to "scared off" your employees from leaving you. That clause would work best if they were the management employees for "stealing their trade secret"

I can't believe they didn't get the best attorney in town because they might get by if saying loss of business income because 20 something employees left. Hair cut or coloring are their employee livelyhood. How can they expect them not to work for anyone else. It is a bull*** to have 5 miles clause in there.

They got so mad and didn't know what to do so they wasted their money to sue all of those ex-employees. Of course, they didn't win and it was so obvious that they were so upset. I understand they are so rich and all that but you need to have a decency and high moral and ethic while operating business. Playing the dirty game doesn't help. My husband and I had been seeing this hair stylist CHRISTINE with a nickname "LOLA" at Edina location. It took us 3 times there before we can find the right match. We love the hair stylist LOLA. She always did an EXCELLENT JOB with styling. We feel so comfortable that we just let her do whatever she wants to do with our hair. We trust her knowledge and skills. Not everyone is can do their job. I dont care how long they have been in training with Rocco before they can be on the floor. Some of them were SUX!!!

We finally found the match. I always have excellent compliment with all different hair styles she did for both of us. In Jan. 2008, we had our hair done by LOLA then we were oversea for 2 weeks. Our favorite stylist asked us to grab some authentic Asian Painting that has the black laccquer then oyster shells on top for whichever figure or portrait. She asked us to picked one that has a Dragon and Phoenix because she has been looking for that and they are very costly at the Mall of America or anywhere else. We got it for so cheap $50 for 4 pieces set dimension of each piece was approx. 40in x 14in x .5in They are very pretty.

On Feb. 2008, we were due for trim/cut and wanted to set up appt. they said "Lola isn't here anymore. I can't tell you any else futher. I will set you two up with someone that is just as good as Lola." They set us up with 2 different hair stylists and this one skimpy wiggly, tried to be mature with black hair looked like 30something but she was in the early 20. My husband got someone turned out to be our cousin's distance relative. They both messed our hair up. My husband's hair look like a cone head. My hair look like I was wearing a wigg. She was so stupid. She tried to say how good she is but oh boy just by looking at the way she does thing I had zero confident and we both in teared when we walked out of Rocco Altobelli in Edina. We finally switched to the Burnsville location and one of them did a very good job with my husband's hair. The other wasn't with my hair. I was so desperated and upset and vowed to boycott Rocco Altobelli.

They had no customer loyalty. For such a so-called "HIGH-END SALON" I would assume they would know how to treat their customers. What were they thinking? Do they actually think that they can prevent us from going to our favorite hair stylist Lola?

Do you know how bad ther business practice was? We explained that haircut is one thing but we want to give the paintings to her. They referred us to speak to their Head Quarter and spoke to some "bi*** that took our information without down (name and phone no. and the reason) We were being really honest about that we need to speak to Lola to deliver the painting. Rocco Altobelli Manager wanted us to give them our painting and they will deliver that to Lola. Thanks god we did not because we just found out that those scumbag used our information in court against their former employee Lola try to claim all reason and told her with 2 options:

1. We'll give you their info. but then you can't have them as customer at your new Salon
2. We just dont give their information at all.

We tried to find our stylist Lola, Christine FOR MONTHS AND GOT NO LUCK. We went on line, commerce dept. called to so many places to find out the new salon in business and got no luck. We finally found Lola at SALON LILI BY WILLIAMS AND FRIENDS at 5757 Sanibel, Minnetonka, MN. I AM SO GLAD AND HAD MY HAIR DONE THERE.

I had been to so many cheap hair salon such as Fantastic Sam, Cost Cutters (next blog will be them), Great Clips, Salon Avalon, and Hair Solution at various location in the past. I am telling you, it is worth paying a $50 hair cut. But not at ROCCO ALTOBELLI. I would never go back to any such places. Not when I'm alive! All of these places messed up my hair cut, color, or style so bad. On October 2004, I went to a Fantastic Sam in Eden Prairie to have my hair color into SILVER BLONDE. I have Asian Black and fine hair. Guess what did I come out with? Halloween and Thanksgiving theme on my head. My hair was litterally turned to Orange and they tried to "color" then tone out so many times that my scalp was bleeding and raw red

Anyway, I will boycott Rocco Altobelli and want all you to read this and dont go to Rocco Altobelli
